What we build

E-commerce

Online stores and B2B ordering built around how you already sell. Storefronts, B2B ordering portals, Shopify customisation and the links to your payments, shipping and accounts. Built to a signed specification and paid for after you accept the work.

The situation

Orders arrive everywhere except one place

Many sellers take orders on WhatsApp, Instagram, a marketplace and the phone, then copy them into a sheet before anyone can pack a parcel. Stock goes wrong, GST invoices are typed by hand, and nobody is sure which payments have come in. A ready made store solves part of this, though wholesale price lists, dealer credit, cash on delivery rules or a link to Tally often need custom work. A good e-commerce project starts with how you sell today and builds the store, the back office and the connections in the order that saves the most time.

What we build

E-commerce, in practice.

  1. Online storefronts

Fast, mobile friendly stores with catalogue, search, cart, checkout and order tracking, set up for Indian customers and GST invoices.

  2. B2B and wholesale ordering

Logins for dealers and retailers with their own price lists, minimum order quantities, credit limits and repeat orders.

  3. Shopify and platform customisation

Custom themes, apps and checkout extensions on Shopify, or on ShopenUp (shopenup.com), the Code Colonies e-commerce platform.

  4. Payments and checkout

Razorpay, UPI, cards and cash on delivery, with refunds and payment status matched to each order.

  5. Shipping and fulfilment links

Courier and shipping aggregator connections for labels, tracking updates and return requests.

  6. Inventory and accounts sync

Stock kept in step across your store and marketplaces, and orders passed to Tally or your accounting software.

An example

Illustrative: a Surat saree trader moves dealer orders online

Consider a saree wholesaler in Surat who takes orders from retailers across Gujarat and Maharashtra over WhatsApp, with designs shared as photos. The specification covers a B2B ordering site where approved retailers see new designs with their own prices, place orders with a minimum quantity, and pay through Razorpay or on agreed credit. Orders reach the warehouse as a packing list and go to Tally as sales vouchers with GST. A public storefront for retail buyers is kept for a later stage.

Questions

About e-commerce.

Should we use Shopify or have a custom store built?

If a standard store covers how you sell, a platform such as Shopify or ShopenUp (shopenup.com) is usually quicker and cheaper to run. Custom work makes sense for dealer pricing, credit terms, unusual catalogues or deep links to your own systems. The choice is made during scoping.

Can the store create GST invoices?

Yes, GST invoices can be part of the specification, with the details your accountant needs. Confirm the invoice format and any e-invoicing requirements that apply to your business with your CA.

Who pays for the platform, payment gateway and courier charges?

Platform plans, gateway fees, courier charges and any paid apps are agreed in writing before work starts, and usually sit in your own accounts.
