The offer
One rate, one minimum, and nothing paid in advance.
2good.dev is how Code Colonies sells its software and AI work: one hourly rate, a 150 hour minimum, clear rules and an acceptance test that comes before any invoice.
Quick answer
What is the 2good.dev offer?
Software and AI work at INR 199 or USD 2 an hour on the Prime tier, bought in blocks of 150 hours. Nothing is paid in advance: a signed Statement of Work defines done, and you pay only after you have tested the work and accepted it.

How a block runs
Talk, scope, build, accept, carry on.
Every engagement runs on the Code Colonies O2E model, output based and paid after acceptance. Each block of 150 hours follows the same five stages.
- Step 1We talkFree
- Step 2We scopeSigned Statement of Work
- Step 3We buildIncrements you can see
- Step 4You acceptThen you pay
- Step 5We carry onNext block, if you want one
Included at no extra charge
What every block carries.
The rate is the whole of the hourly price. The work that keeps quality steady is already inside it.
Senior technical review
Every output is reviewed by a senior engineer before it goes to testing. At Plus and Pro a senior also shapes or leads the work.
Testing
Functional and regression testing is part of every block, so what reaches you has already been checked against the specification.
Project management
Planning, stand ups, sync calls and progress reporting are inside the block. You are not billed for a separate manager.
Documentation and a delivery note
Each block ends with the code, the technical documentation and a delivery note, so nothing lives only in one person's head.
Reporting you can read
Progress updates, sync calls and a clear view of hours and deliverables against the agreed scope.
Your code and your IP
Source code, documentation and intellectual property created for you belong to you on acceptance and payment, as written into the Statement of Work.
Agreed in writing
Costs that sit outside the hourly rate.
Some projects need things that cost money whoever builds them. These are agreed in writing before work starts, so there are no surprises on the invoice.
- Hosting and cloud accounts
- Paid APIs and AI model usage beyond the AI tool budget
- Software licences and paid plugins
- App store and developer account fees
- Domains, email and SMS or WhatsApp sending costs
The USD 50 AI tool budget in every block covers AI coding assistants, AI powered testing and the API usage needed for AI assisted delivery. AI usage by the finished product itself, once it runs for your customers, is a third party cost agreed in writing.
Set out in your agreement
What is fixed case by case.
A few terms depend on the size and nature of the work, so they are agreed with you in writing before anything starts.
- How long you have to review each delivery
- When payment is due after acceptance
- How hours on work that needs putting right are treated
- Any warranty or support period after acceptance
- The currency you are invoiced in
Questions
About the price.
Is the code written by AI?
Engineers write it with AI coding assistants, which handle much of the routine work. A senior engineer reviews every output, QA tests it, and you test it against the specification before you accept it.
What if we stop after one block?
You can. Each block stands on its own: you pay for the work you accepted, and the code, documentation and delivery note for that work are yours. There is no commitment to a second block.
What if we never accept the work?
Work that does not meet the signed specification is put right and tested again. Acceptance is judged against the specification you both signed, so the test is the same for both sides.
Where do our code and accounts live?
In accounts you own: your code repository, your cloud account, your domain and your app store listings. Credentials are handed over with the documentation at the end of each block.
How do we know the hours are real?
You see hours and deliverables against scope throughout the block, in progress updates and sync calls, and the delivery note lists the hours behind each accepted item.
