2good.dev or a freelancer from a marketplace
Marketplaces make it easy to find someone quickly, often at a low rate. That works well for small tasks. Larger work needs review, testing and continuity, which a team on 2good terms provides.

How it usually works
Freelance marketplaces
You post a job, compare profiles and rates, and hire one person or a few. Payment usually goes through the platform, hourly or against milestones held in escrow. You manage the work yourself: the specification, the reviews, the testing and what happens if the person becomes unavailable.
Works well for
- A small, self contained task with a clear output
- A buyer who can review code and manage the work
- Specialist one off skills, such as a particular plugin or design
Worth watching for
- Nobody reviewing the code before you receive it
- Testing left to you
- Work stopping when one person is busy, unwell or moves on
- Your own time spent managing, which is rarely counted in the rate

Choose 2good when
Choose 2good when the work is bigger than one person, when you do not have time to review and test it yourself, or when you need the work to continue past one contractor.
Choose the other route when
Choose a marketplace freelancer for a small, well bounded task you can check yourself, or for a niche skill you need once.
Questions
Asked by people comparing.
Is 2good cheaper than a freelancer?
It depends on the person and the country. The difference is what the hour includes: senior review, testing and project management are inside every 2good block.
Can we work with a named engineer?
Blocks are delivered by a small team. If you want a named senior engineer embedded in your team full time, ask about Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE), which is scoped separately.
Is there a minimum?
Yes, 150 hours, which is one block. It is enough to scope, build and deliver something real and usable.
